Lady Byrne begins her first day as Executive Chairman of the Byrne Foundation and finds herself out of her depth and pressured by Jayne to fund a unique robotic procedure pioneered by Connie and make Connie medical advisor. But during the day Lady Byrne's begins to realise the important work Holby does and agrees to fund Connie's procedure but makes Elliott the medical advisor. Mark and Linden clash as Mark feels he is being taken for granted by Linden. Michael's wife finds his credit card bill and wants him to explain the jewelry item on the bill or not come home. Michael persuades Ric to cover his HolbyCare private patient whilst he tries to do some damage control but Ric refuses to do the operation when it comes down to it. Michael buys an identical necklace for his wife but Donna finds out and berates him leading Michael to present her with a pair of earrings
